Agreement
These Terms of Service apply when you use Ironsmith, including the macOS app, website, accounts, AI credits, and the Ironsmith AI provider. By using Ironsmith, you agree to these terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the online services or purchase AI credits. You can still review the open-source code under its software license.
Open-Source App
The Ironsmith macOS app source code is licensed under GPL-3.0. Nothing in these terms limits rights granted to you by that license for the open-source code.
The Ironsmith name, logo, website, hosted services, accounts, and billing systems are separate from the source-code license. Do not use the Ironsmith name or branding in a way that suggests your project is officially provided or endorsed by Ironsmith unless you have permission.
Accounts And AI Credits
You can use Ironsmith without an account when you use local models or your own provider setup. Some features, including the Ironsmith AI provider and AI credit purchases, require an Ironsmith account.
AI credits are used to pay for generation through the Ironsmith AI provider. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are tied to your Ironsmith account. Promotional credits may be changed or removed at any time. Where permitted by law, Ironsmith reserves the right to expire unused AI credits 12 months after purchase or issuance.
If you purchased credits less than 30 days ago and want a refund, contact support@ironsmith.app. Used credits and promotional credits are not refundable except where required by law. If you delete your account, you may lose access to unused credits.
Generated Apps
Ironsmith is designed for personal tools, experiments, and utilities. It is not meant to replace professional software engineering review for production-critical, safety-critical, regulated, medical, legal, or financial systems.
Ironsmith does not claim ownership of apps you create with it. You are responsible for your prompts, generated apps, exported apps, and how you use or share them. Generated apps may contain bugs, security issues, inaccurate logic, or content that needs review before use.
You are responsible for making sure generated apps do not violate laws, third-party rights, platform rules, license terms, privacy obligations, or security expectations.
AI Providers
When you use the Ironsmith AI provider, Ironsmith passes your prompt and generation context to upstream AI providers. When you use your own API key, local model, Ollama setup, or custom endpoint, your use is also subject to that provider's terms.
AI output can be incomplete, incorrect, or similar to content generated for other users. Do not put secrets, passwords, private keys, sensitive personal data, or confidential business information into prompts.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Ironsmith or the online services. For example, do not use Ironsmith to:
- Break the law or violate someone else's rights.
- Create malware, credential theft tools, phishing tools, or systems meant to harm other people or devices.
- Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse other people.
- Upload or request content you do not have the right to use.
- Attack, overload, scrape, bypass, or disrupt Ironsmith's online services.
- Resell, transfer, or abuse AI credits, accounts, or access to the Ironsmith AI provider.
Third-Party Services
Ironsmith relies on third-party services for account, billing, AI, hosting, downloads, and sign-in features. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
- Supabase provides authentication and account data storage.
- Stripe provides checkout, payment processing, and refunds.
- OpenRouter routes Ironsmith AI requests to upstream AI model providers.
- Google Cloud hosts Ironsmith's online service.
- GitHub hosts source code, release downloads, and app update metadata.
- Apple provides platform services such as Sign in with Apple.
Service Changes
Ironsmith may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time, including online services, AI model availability, pricing, credit packs, promotional credits, and account features. Ironsmith may also rate limit or block activity that appears abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or harmful to the service.
If Ironsmith permanently discontinues the Ironsmith AI provider, Ironsmith will try to provide at least 30 days' notice so users can spend remaining paid credits, where practical.
No Warranties
Ironsmith is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ironsmith disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
You are responsible for backing up your data, reviewing generated code and apps, and deciding whether a generated app is appropriate for your use.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ironsmith and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, service interruptions, or problems caused by generated apps.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ironsmith's total liability for any claim related to the online services is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for AI credits in the 12 months before the claim or 100 USD.
Account Suspension And Termination
You can stop using Ironsmith at any time and can delete your Ironsmith account from the Ironsmith provider settings. Ironsmith may suspend or terminate access to online services if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or use Ironsmith in a way that appears abusive, unlawful, or harmful.
Changes And Contact
These terms may be updated as Ironsmith changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with a new update date. Your continued use of Ironsmith after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Questions, billing questions, and refund requests can be sent to support@ironsmith.app.
